is an Afghan-born woman who overcame numerous obstacles in her life with resilience and a passion for helping others. Despite family demands, she pursued her studies in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Studies and later became a Farsi Literature teacher. In Australia, she worked as a case worker for Afghan refugees and taught Farsi Literature to Afghan youth. Zakia's dedication to her family and community is truly inspiring.

is an extraordinary individual who has overcome incredible challenges and obstacles in her resettlement journey from Afghanistan to Australia. With extensive education in law and political science, Mariam has dedicated her life to helping others as an interpreter for various agencies, bridging the language barrier for non-English speaking individuals. Her selflessness and dedication are truly remarkable, and she continues to assist her loved ones and people in Afghanistan who are facing difficulties.

Sheela Sidiqi, an Afghan-born Australian, is a resilient woman who faced many challenges in her life but emerged victorious. She pursued education in Pakistan and Australia and raised nine successful children, instilling in them the values of hard work and compassion. She runs a successful catering business, has a passion for cooking, and aims to open her own restaurant. Her story is a testament to the resilience and determination of the human spirit.

is a resilient and determined woman who immigrated to Australia and successfully raised her seven children. A former founder and principal of schools in Pakistan, she is now a passionate advocate for women in domestic violence situations. Despite facing many challenges, Freshta never gave up and is now a proud grandmother of three. She is fluent in four languages and dedicated to helping her community.

Lela is an embodiment of strength and resilience, raising seven children and four grandchildren while working as a homemaker. Despite marrying at 12, she empowers women in her community through her experiences. She is a role model, bilingual, and passionate about helping others. Lela's spirit and heart have made her beloved and inspirational.

Despite losing her husband, she remained dedicated to helping others in similar situations. Mahbooba's unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the world is fueled by her love for her family and her community. She is a true example of courage, resilience, and determination.

Vice Chairperson

is a dedicated advocate for community cohesion and safety, promoting development opportunities for youth, family-friendly environments, and respect for Elders. She founded an organization to help integration into Australian society and works as a Career counsellor and Youth Worker. Marwa has extensive experience in helping people with war trauma and is a member of the Mirrabooka Police District Youth Advisory Group. She is also involved in humanitarian aid projects overseas.

Growing up in Kabul, Afghanistan, she faced many challenges but never let them stop her from pursuing her dreams. Najeeba has worked as a childcare educator, health teacher, and early childhood educator, using her skills and knowledge to better the lives of children. Her passion for education has driven her to move to Australia and continue growing in her career. Najeeba is also a proud mother and grandmother, cherishing the joys of parenting and watching her grandchildren grow.

Despite challenges, she raised 6 children, became a grandmother to 8 grandchildren, and pursued her dream of making a positive impact through education and service. As an 18-year teacher, she has dedicated herself to educating and assisting others, always with the goal of creating a peaceful and developed society. Her resilience and commitment are an inspiration to all.

Her expertise in economics and administration, coupled with her 4 years of experience in the banking system, has made her an invaluable asset to any organization or clients she works with. Waheeda's devotion to her family, coupled with her unique perspective on the world, has made her a remarkable and compassionate woman who continues to make a positive impact on those around her.
